이상군의 웃음충전소│국적별 그림 감상법

 

영국인ㆍ프랑스인ㆍ러시아인이 에덴동산에서 함께 서 있는 아담과 이브의 그림을 감상하고 있었다.
A Brit, a Frenchman and a Russian are viewing a painting of Adam and Eve standing together in the Garden of Eden.

 

"말없이 점잖은 걸 보니 영국 사람들이 틀림없군." 영국인이 유심히 바라보면서 말했다.
"Look at their reserve， their calm", muses the Brit. "They must be British."

 

"천만에." 프랑스인이 이의를 제기하고 나섰다. "벗은 모습이 얼마나 아름다워요. 분명히 프랑스 사람들이에요."
"Nonsense"，the Frenchman disagrees. "They're naked, and so beautiful. Clearly they are French."

 

그러자 러시아인이 나섰다. "옷도 없고, 집도 없고, 먹을 거라곤 사과밖에 없는데 저걸 낙원이라고 하다니. 저들은 러시아인이네요."
"No clothes, no shelter", the Russian points out. "They have only apple to eat，and they're being told this is paradise. They are Russian."
